The Challenge

RotorApp is a digital maritime shipping application tailored for the Nigerian shipping sector, designed to digitise port logistics. Working collaboratively with the agency Bravand and their UX team, the challenge was to create a robust brand identity, logo, and intuitive user interface from scratch. The app needed to streamline complex maritime workflows, such as checking vessel arrivals, rotation numbers, and container details, into a clean, accessible experience for importers, shippers, and logistics professionals.

The Solution

I partnered with Bravand’s UX team to develop a cohesive visual system and user interface that turned dense maritime data into an efficient, user-friendly mobile experience.

  • Logo & Brand Identity: Designed a modern, professional logo mark and brand system that establishes instant trust and reflects reliability within the shipping and logistics industry.

  • Colourways & Typography: Established a clean, high-contrast colour palette and legible typography hierarchy optimised for mobile screens and quick data scanning in busy port or office environments.

  • UI Design: Collaborated closely with the UX team to translate wireframes into intuitive, polished mobile app interfaces for key features like vessel gazette tracking, rotation number searches, and container enquiries.

Key Outcomes

  • Delivered a complete brand identity and intuitive mobile UI that successfully digitised and streamlined container importation processes for Nigerian shippers.

  • Provided a seamless digital experience that bridges complex logistics data with an accessible, consumer-grade mobile layout.

  • Created a scalable design system, in light and dark mode, that supported a successful launch across iOS and Android platforms.
